𝑆𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑙𝑎𝑢𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑙𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟, 𝐼 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑢𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 💗

We walk beneath a sky too wide for coincidence,

your hand finding mine

“𝒀𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚,” you say softly.

“𝑰’𝒎 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕… 𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒛𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔,” I reply,

and you smile like you understand more than I said.

A sudden wind lifts a few petals around us, not many

just enough to make the moment feel chosen.

“𝑾𝒂𝒊𝒕,” you whisper,

pulling me close for a selfie.

“𝑫𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕.”

Your arm wraps around my waist,

my heartbeat forgets its timing.

“𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 ?” you laugh.

“𝑩𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒂 𝒊𝒔𝒏’𝒕 ?,” I murmur.

Later, we sit side by side,

sharing food from the same plate.

You steal the last bite.

“𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒆,” I protest.

“𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒕,” you tease, already smiling.

I take two dramatic steps toward you,

and we both end up laughing

like nothing in the world could break this scene.

You pluck a tiny lavender sprig

and tuck it gently behind my ear.

“𝑵𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘,” you say.

I raise an eyebrow. “𝑺𝒐 𝑰’𝒎 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏?”

You step closer, smiling softly.

“𝑵𝒐… 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒕’𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍.”

I try to look away,

but your fingers tilt my chin back toward you.

“𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏?” I whisper.

“𝑩𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒍𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈,” you murmur,

You lean closer. I close my eyes.

The music swells in the background

this is it. The almost we holding hands .

And suddenly TRRRRIIIIIIINNNGGGGG!!!

The sky glitches ,The petals disappear mid-air.

Your face freezes like bad WiFi.

“WAKE UP its Saturday! You’ll be late for class!”

My eyes snap open.

Just my alarm screaming

and my mom standing at the door.

I stare at the ceiling in betrayal.
